And Wow on Wednesday
Dear friends. Thanks for the terrific response to last week's post, my frank thoughts about growing old (with some tips on how to deal with them!).
Today I'm back in gamine style. Women with a gamine style personality are typically petite and like neat, fitted clothes. We don't gravitate towards print, except in small scarves. We don't do frills, flouncy or oversized.
It's quite tough in the winter months to find clothes which fit the gamine remit. I spotted this cute cat jumper at Cider. It's not an online retailer I would normally buy from because it's fast fashion. But the jumper feels soft and provided I wash it gently, should last.
I'm wearing it with my dark blue corduroy skirt (Boden, old), navy opaque tights from Aristoc and turquoise brogues, Embassy London.
I wore this outfit last week at a lunch with Kettlewell colour club members in London's Kings Cross. It was, at last, cold enough to wear a coat, and my cobalt blue coat (Warehouse, 2023) was ideal. I actually wore different shoes as I didn't like the turquoise with the cobalt. I went a bit matchy matchy with my cobalt ankle boots, matching my vegan leather bag from Fenella Smith.
Knowing my "style personality" makes shopping easier, and probably saves me money in winter when I can't find very much to buy! If you want some guidance on finding your style personality, check out my post here
Are you glad when it's finally cold enough for coats, gloves and hats, or do you prefer to prolong the warmer weather as long as possible? Do tell in the comments.
Find the comments box below the link-up and the Disqus ads (which I'm very annoyed about, as I keep this blog ad free, but they will charge £15 per month to remove them).

WOW ON WEDNESDAY
It's time for Wow on Wednesday, where readers can find new blogs to follow, and bloggers can find new readers.
This style suits you so well, nice to know what suits us now isn’t it. No more fashion errors! Thanks for the feature too. I didn’t manage a post on Monday, just so much going on. Have a great week Gail xx Jacqui
