And Wow on Wednesday
Dear friends. Today I'm creating a few outfits for spring and summer holidays using three pieces from Cotton Traders.
I chose a pair of striped trousers, a tie-front top and a cotton shirt. All very versatile, as I hope to prove.
The striped pull-on trousers, top pic, were a bit of a revelation because they're not a style I would normally choose. They have a fashionable wide leg and discreet side pockets . The best thing, though, is they come in a choice of leg lengths. I'm wearing a size 10, length 29 inches. I'm 5'4 (strictly speaking, 5.3 and a half, but I don't like to remind myself that I appear to be shrinking).
I'm wearing the trousers with an aquamarine tee, current, from Kettlewell, and sandals, last year, from Vionic.
Below, the trousers are styled with a denim jacket and white trainers plus a real hero piece, the Cotton Traders stripe relaxed cotton shirt. This gives a bit of sutble pattern mixing.
Many of us prefer cotton for hot days and this is extremely good quality. I sized down to an 8 as relaxed fits can often swamp me. This arctic blue colourway has blue and aquamarine stripes. It sells for £34.
On the subject of white trainers, fashionistas have been saying they're out this year. But they're not going anywhere, from what I saw at the Chelsea Flower Show (both young and older women).
Here's the shirt close-up so you can see the two colours.
And here it is with white chinos (old, M&S), Artisan brogues in aqua from Embassy London (current) and vegan leather bag from Fenella Smith (current). This is a good outfit for sight seeing.
Those striped trousers look like the perfect ones to pack for a holiday! Love the knotted blouse too.
