& Wow on Wednesday
Dear friends. February is such a relief after never-ending January. Normally a short month, the spring bulbs start proliferating and the birds get more chirpy. Spring is not far away.
If you've popped over from Platinum magazine, check out this brief welcome post.
I'm not feeling blue, although I am turning to blue as one of my favourite colours. I know I can grab some of my blues and always create an easy outfit.
I'm a big fan of M&S jeggings. I find them more comfortable than jeans and they're flattering. Top and below I'm wearing dark brown jeggings with a Kettlewell short tie wrap (bright turquoise), slash neck top (Hawaii) and brogue in teal are by Embassy London (old).
I've stopped wearing scarves lately because they tend to overwhelm me, but I've found a way of reducing the size so they're a bit more gamine. This scarf is by Sarah Lonergan. The tote bag in turquoise (Kettlewell) is a fun way of promoting living our lives in colour and is great for shopping trips.
I've just acquired two new additions to my blue arsenal. The vegan handbag is a Frida Kahlo special edition, reduced at Fenella Smith. Now only £22.50! The bag is the ideal size because it's not too big but will easily accommodate a Kindle, phone, purse and lipstick.
Above: Rachel jacket from Kettlewell (electric blue) with their Rita blouse in clear giraffe worn over the Becca sweater (emerald turquoise).
I also bought in blue a pair of the purple ankle boots I had for Christmas. They're a flattering shape and the heel is low enough to be comfortable to wear all day. I got them from Amazon, they come in several colours.
I've had these jeans a while but haven't worn them much. A boot cut is a bit more trendy at the moment, but I doubt if skinny or straight styles will go out of fashion. These are from M&S.
I would buy all the colours of those boots! Love the monochrome blue outfits. I heard the birds yesterday and it is such a lovely sound. Can't wait for warmer days!
ReplyDeleteAll these different shades of blue are wonderful. I especially love the first hue and it is really a fun colour to experiment with different styles.
