My No-Frizz Hair Trick

& WowOnWednesday

A hair dryer that uses light to dry your hair is featured on Is This Mutton, the blog for sassy and discernible over-50s

Dear friends. I don't often accept brand collaborations, and only do it for products I would buy. The Zuvi Halo Hair Dryer was a complete no-brainer.  I'd been thinking about replacing my old hair dryer, over 10 years old and clearly not doing my hair any favours. So when I learnt how the Zuvi has an entirely different method of drying, resulting in shinier, healthier hair, I was hooked!

Read on to see how I got on with this stylish hair saviour, and how to claim the best ever discount offered, especially for Is This Mutton readers.

Why is the Zuvi Halo better for your hair?

The various hormonal changes of life - post natal, peri-menopause and post menopause, can wreak havoc on our hair. It can become thinner and more difficult to style.  I have my hair highlighted every six weeks or so, which can lead to what I call "candy floss texture" -  frizz and dry ends.

I didn't realise that my old hair dryer, the sort many of you probably have, was one of the worst possible things for my hair.  It was blasting out very hot air, and I didn't help matters by holding it too close to my hair.

The Zuvi Halo uses light instead of extreme heat for a gentler hair drying experience, increasing internal hair moisture and giving more shine, smoothness and stronger hair.

Since I've been using it I've found I have less frizz.

How does it work?

Zuvi Halo has been specifically designed to care for hair and uses a technology called LightCare™. This uses light to dry the water droplets on the surface of your hair, protecting your hair's internal moisture for healthier hair.

When you switch the dryer on, you'll light up the special Zuvi feature of a green aurora light.

The Zuvi Halo hair dryer is a great option for those with sensitive scalps or who prefer cooler temperatures. At a lower temperature of 111℉/44℃ , Zuvi Halo is gentle on the scalp and hair, safe and comfortable to use, while still drying hair quickly and effectively without compromising your hair health.

How do I use it?

I first get my hair 60-70% dry without using any attachments, selecting FAST mode.  You then have the choice of three styling attachments:  a diffuser, styling concentrator, and gentle air attachment.  You can choose a different mode for your attachment:  Care, which utilizes a smart sensor to control the level of wind and heat to protect your hair;  Style, to use with the styling concentrator to straighten or curl hair; Soft, to provide a lighter wind and heat level for a gentler drying experience, and Fast. If you want a blast of cool air, hold the mode button.

The Zuvi Halo, and my scalp, don't get hot when I'm using it, which used to happen with my old dryer, and it really doesn't take any longer to dry.

It feels light in the hand and is energy efficient.

Award winner

You can buy Zuvi Halo in the knowledge that it's won multiple beauty and industry awards, including Allure’s Best of Beauty.  When you buy the hair dryer, there's a 30 day money back guarantee if you decide it's not for you.

Treat yourself or gift it

As you know, it's Black Friday this week and Zuvi have kindly agreed a discount of 30% for you if you use my code above. It's an offer that won't last forever.  The Zuvi Halo would make a wonderful present for any woman (and most discerning men!).  Visit Zuvi Halo to use your discount code of MUTTON5.

Finished Look

I'm quite lazy with my hair and don't bother with any styling products. I wash it with a good quality shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair, and use the Zuvi Halo with the styling concentrator in style mode.
