#StyleNotAgeChallenge
Dear friends. Welcome to another Style Not Age challenge, where 5 style bloggers over the age of 45 create an outfit each month based on a prompt. In November it's Hilda's choice and she went with "Inspired by the Colours of Autumn", or Fall, as you would say in North America.
This was a good one for me because I've recently bought a beautiful new yellow coat. It's by Gianni Feraud and reduced from £265 to £75 at Asos. An unbelievable bargain because it is extremely good quality.
I'm wearing it with clothes from my wardrobe, all old: boots, Office; brown jeggings, M&S; light green top and papaya scarf, Kettlewell.
There are quite a few crossover colours between the two warm toned seasons of spring and autumn. As you know, I'm a spring, but I happily wear the lighter oranges and golden yellows, plus brown and creams as neutrals, which are colours shared with autumn.
And here are some of the autumn colours of Epping Forest, which is on my doorstep. I'd planned to take the pictures there but it was logistically challenging. Plus it's been too warm in the last few days to walk, or cycle, any distance wearing the very cosy wool coat. I took these pictures last week. Follow me on Instagram to see my regular walks and photos from the forest: @is_this_mutton_
Now let's see how my friends got on, starting with Hilda from Over the Hilda whose prompt this was.
Hilda has some fab boots, a statement red scarf and camo leggings to create her cosy autumnal look. Everything was shopped from her wardrobe.
Anna from Anna's Island Style is wearing a TK Maxx fur jacket, Joe Brown's floral dress, black roll neck (pre-loved), orange boots from ASOS, green leather gloves (old) and sunglasses from Radley London. This is one of her work outfits.
Rich reds for Emma from Stylesplash in a jacket with no label from eBay, top from Joanie Clothing, trousers and ankle boots from M&S (old) and bag is by Matt and Nat (eBay).
More red with Jacqui from Mummabstylish, autumnal in a dress and jacket from Bonmarche, boots from Clark’s via eBay and a gifted bag from Teddy Blake.
I hope you enjoyed our Inspired by Autumn looks. Do you find yourself wearing autumnal colours at this time of year? Which are your favourites? Do let us know in the comments.
