Style Not Age Challenge
Dear friends. There's a great challenge in today's monthly Style Not Age with me, Anna, Hilda, Jacqui and Emma.
It was Anna's turn and she came up with Jeans and Jewels.
The juxtaposition of denim with jewels is unexpected and creates an outfit which could take us anywhere. I automatically reached for my Georgian crystal necklaces, which I love to layer. I got the idea from Anna Wintour.
I'm wearing my jeans (denim) jacket, old, from Amazon, with bright apricot top and electric blue metallic from Kettlewell and corduroy skirt and navy boots from Boden (old). My necklaces came from Etsy. Look for sellers Lynn's Gem Creations (UK) and Sacred Cake (USA).
Let's see how the other girls got on. Whereas I went for a traditional indigo colour for my denim, Anna from Anna's Island Style has chosen a gorgeous cream jacket and lighter blue jeans. Her jeans are from Levis, a recent purchase from Camden Market, the cream jeans jacket is from Jack Wills, this season,; her vest top is old and the belt is from Amazon. The silver boots are old too, as are her jewels.
Emma from Stylesplash went with a vintage embellished denim dress bought on eBay and added a necklace over it. The latest addition to her collection of Yaa Yaa London rings matches the blue theme. Sunglasses are old ones from Asos and the bag was a holiday purchase.
Hilda from Over the Hilda shopped her wardrobe for this great look. She added a jewel coloured coat for a bit of extra colour. Her jewels were left behind by her daughter when she moved out.
Jacqui from Mummabstylish is rocking jeans with pearl detail at the ankle, grey Lipsy boots, new grey jumper from New Look and grey Fiorelli bag. Her jewels are a necklace gifted a while ago.
I hope you enjoyed our jeans and jewels! Is this a look you like to use, and if so, when and where? Do let us know in the comments.
