Frilled to Bits: Style Not Age Challenge

Five style bloggers over 45 are showing their outfits with the prompt Frilled to Bits

Dear friends. It's the monthly Style Not Age challenge, and we're all Frilled to Bits with Anna's prompt. Stand by as five style bloggers over the age of 45 show their interpretation!

My frills are on a blouse bought on eBay and worn with my summer favourites, lime cropped trousers from Roman.

Over 60s blogger Gail Hanlon and four friends show how to style ruffles and frills over the age of 50

I added lime acccessories:  bag from Cambridge Satchel Company and lime mules from Asos, both old.  I'm wearing two necklaces, a Georgian collet from Etsy and a pendant on a chain from Eclectica.

Let's see how my style friends got on. Anna from Anna's Island Style, whose challenge this is, is sporting a fun look with a homemade petticoat along with a vintage blouse and skirt. She added her new summer cowboy boots in pink and orange from ASOS.

Hilda from Over the Hilda is feeling pretty frilled to bits at the moment, having been featured in Good Housekeeping. Congrats to Hilda! She's wearing a Whistles dress which JD Richards sent her for the article.

Emma from Stylesplash bought her gorgeous top with frilled sleeves on her latest trip to Funchal in Madeira. She found it in her favourite shop, Dona Hortensia. The trousers (and jacket that she's
wearing in other photos on her blog) are from Monki. Emma's vegan leather bag is by Fenella Smith - I have the same one!

Jacqui from Mummabstylish will probably wear her dress, from Izabel Clothing, to a wedding next week. It’s a wrap dress with frills all down the front and round the hem of the maxi. The green additions were her fancy lace up shoes and a new green bag from Dune that was a birthday present.

I hope you enjoyed our outfits with frills.  How are you with frills and ruffles?  Have you bought anything new, or do you have something old and special? Do share in the comments.
