Dear friends. I'm a great believer in snapping up duplicates if you find a garment that's perfect. If it's available in different colours, all the better.
I love the Kettlewell Chloe jacket for its versatility - and colours! I now have six. I started with one in lavender, followed by jewel blue. I then found a pre-loved Chloe in soft white. This season, the jacket reappeared after a year long hiatus, and I went a bit mad and bought three in island green, cream and soft yellow.
Mine are in light colours which suit my spring colouring; however there are many other colours including moss green, cornflower blue, fuchsia and strawberry.
They can be styled very simply with jeans or jeggings and a tee, or dressed up with a skirt or dress, heels and jewellery for a night out.
A short jacket is great for petite women, those who like a more fitted look, and those of us who are short waisted.
Here are three different looks, The first is a smart look for an evening out. I'm wearing the cream Chloe with a Kettlewell Pippa top and ruched skirt, both in jade, which together look like a dress. The ruched skirt, as I've said before, is extremely flattering for all shapes, and the soft draping of the Pippa is brilliant if you have a large bust and larger midriff as it skims nicely.
I added some leopard print for interest, bag (old) from Next and belt, current, from Kettlewell. The gold flats, old, are from Boden.
I'll be wearing the Chloes on several of my walks this year. The jacket works well in casual styles. Here I'm wearing the island green Chloe with a striped top (last year), lemonade belt that echoes the yellow stripe in the top, and white Stan Smith trainers. The jeans are tapered barrel legs from Mint Velvet. I had to size down, they come up very big.
Finally couldn't resist another purple ensemble! The scarf is from Sarah Lonergan. This small business has a fantastic range of scarves, bags and other accessories, all seasonally coded if you've had colour analysis.
I often get asked about the shoes. They're dance shoes, from Supadance London, and I had them re-soled so I could wear them outdoors. The violet bag I bought pre-loved from a friend.
Those kind a jackets are so perfect! No wonder you have so many. Love the yellow one.
ReplyDeleteI love these jackets, they look very comfortable and soft which I prefer over stiff material!
ReplyDeleteI love this jacket! It’s so nice that it’s soft material rather than stiff, much easier to wear!
