Dear friends. it's fitting that the Style Not Age Challenge is "Sparkle and Shine."
I was initially a bit panicky because I didn't think I had enough sparkly clothes to make an outfit. I've been trying to pare down my wardrobe, to make it more suitable for my lifestyle. A few sequin items have already found their way to a charity shop.
But I remembered a silver sequin skirt, intended for thrifting, which I thought would go well with my white embellished duster coat. I've only worn the duster once but it's so beautiful I don't think I could get rid of it.I capitalized on the few days of snow that we had, although with hindsight, my white boots disappear, so I should have worn my pink ones!
Duster (old) from Asos, top Kettlewell Colours, boots (old) Russell & Bromley, silver skirt, last year, French Connection. Necklace: Etsy. Bag, current, John Lewis.
Let's see how my challenge friends got on.
Anna, from Anna's Island Style, who came up with this month's theme, always does colour and sparkle so well. This is the outfit she wore for her staff Christmas party at the local pub, with live music and dancing.
She's wearing a sequin jacket, new with tags on from Zara, but found in the British Red Cross shop in Truro. Her Ted Baker skirt is old and the shoes are charity shop finds too from a few years ago.
Anna is wearing a sheer body with devore velvet pattern, very old, from TK Maxx. Her sparkly belt was also from the new Zara rack in the BRC shop.
It is very comforting to see a fellow blogger out in the snow wearing beautiful but thin clothes. Just for a blog post. The things we do for our readers, right? Hope you are having a wonderful sparkly Christmas period.
