Pretty in Pink is this month's Style Not Age Challenge, set by Anna from Anna's Island Style. This was music to my ears because I love pink and have quite a lot of it. It's a very flattering colour on all women, if you find the right shades.
I'm wearing a ruched skirt and short tie wrap, both in fuchsia, and a top in bubblegum from colour specialists Kettlewell. You may have noticed that a lot of my finds are coming from Kettlewell lately. I'm finding it such a great way to build a wardrobe that really works for my style, based on the colours that suit me.
Below: my "Alas poor Yorick" pose.
My boots, a couple of years old, are from FSJ, and I'm wearing them with lurex tights, although you probably can't see the sparkle. As a winter I would normally wear pink with a contrasting colour, but I decided to go tonal for the theme. My necklace. from Etsy, is green.
Let's see what the other girls have come up with. Anna, whose challenge it is, has a fabulous blue sky backdrop in the Isles of Scilly to showcase her pink dress.
The dress is from Hush, boots are by Converse, pink jelly bag is a Candy bag and sunglasses are by Quay Australia.
There's another lovely blue sky from Hilda, from Over the Hilda, who's wearing a Bastyan coat she's had for over 10 years but hardly ever worn. She usually pairs it with black but has gone for brown accessories this time. Hilda's lovely deeper pink/maroon bag is getting its first outing since she bought it three years ago at Irish chain stores Carraig Donn.
Emma from Stylesplash has bucked the trend in trousers, and what a stunning outfit it is.
Emma's hot pink jacket is from Asos, as is the jacket. Her trousers are from Zara. Together they look like a suit as they're a really good colour match, although the jacket has a sheen to it. Underneath Emma is wearing a blouse from Hawes & Curtis. Her shoes and bag are really old - the bag was bought in Sorrento about 15 years ago. She found the Asos sunglasses on eBay...another pair to add to an extensive collection!
Jacqui from Mummabstylish is also wearing trousers, this time in a different shade, plus a patterned blouse, both current from M&S. If you didn't see it last week, Jacqui wrote a lovely "At Home With" profile of me! on her blog, which you can read here.
Thanks Anna for a great theme. I hoped you enjoyed our pink looks! Do you wear much pink, and if so, what are your favourite shades? Do let us know in the comments. You can see more of the pink outfits on each of the blog mentioned.
