Statement Sleeves: Style Not Age Challenge

 

A great theme this month for the Style Not Age Challenge: Statement Sleeves! They can sometimes be tricky when they dangle in the soup, but who doesn't love a statement sleeve?  The challenge was set by Emma from Stylesplash - see her interpretation in a moment.

My statement sleeve blouse is from River Island and is in one of my favourite shades. I'm wearing it with purple trousers from Robell, grey pearl earrings and silver mules from Vionic. 

Now let's see how the other style bloggers got on.  Emma, whose challenge it is, is dazzling in some bright neon colours.  Her top is also from River Island. It was on sale but she got an extra discount because it had a mark on it - which came out in the wash - so it cost the princely sum of £5!  Her trousers are part of a suit from Monki and the pink neon sandals are from Asos. Emma's sunglasses are also from River Island (old) and her bag is by Nali (from TKMaxx). See more from Emma at Stylesplash. 

Irish blogger Hilda from Over the Hilda is doing double denim. Hilda:  Her shirt is from a local boutique in Malahide run by an Italian lady who imports her stock from Italy. The sleeves are quite full and you can see the details in the close-up. The rest of her outfit was shopped from her closet, and the hat belongs to Hilda's husband. 

Anna from Anna's Island Style is wearing a top that's a charity shop find, jeans from Tesco, sandals from TK Maxx and sunglasses from Quay Australia. I love how her ring matches the trousers. 

Finally Jacqui from Mummabstylish has also shopped her closet and is wearing a Bonmarche top that has lovely fluted sleeves, worn with Next culottes, nude shoes and a grey bag to tie it all together.
