When the bag of long-lost treasures came down from the attic recently, one of the finds was this lime green jumper, an impulse buy a few years ago in Sainsbury's.
It was perfect to team with a new scarf I bought from Culture Vulture. I was attracted by both the bright and colourful Susulu Liberty print, which will work well with pink too, and the magnetic fastening.
I didn't bother with scarves until recently because I found them impossible to style, and life is too short for YouTube tutorials. But scarves like this, or the Rew scarves with a button fastening, or the Kettlewell infinity scarves, well, they're all ideal for a scarf-phobic.
I find the colors very refreshing and zingy as we head towards spring in our typical stop-start fashion here in the UK. The forsythia hedge is starting to flower and the daffodils are out in the front garden. I love the impact of yellow on the garden after a long winter but for me it's short lived. No more yellow after spring. It's a rule for me, like the US gals have "don't wear white after Labor Day."
I'm wearing the sweater with black culottes from Hope and black Stan Smith trainers. I was searching for a pair of flat velvet jewelled shoes from Boden but they must still be in the attic. Mr Mutton will be sent up there this week for the summer stash.
Now it's time for #WowOnWednesday, the link-up where readers find new blogs to read, and bloggers find new readers!
Last week's readers' favourites (most clicked):
Laurie from Vanity and Me with her post "The floral dress Roman Originals SS2021" Great styling as always by Laurie with a black biker jacket and long boots.
Suzy Turner from The Grey Brunette with her post "My fabulous new cloffice and how I use it". Suzy has created a fabulous dressing room / office and there's a YouTube video too.
This week's Is This Mutton Pick is Amy from Amy's Creative Pursuits, who, with several other bloggers, interpreted the challenge "March Stylish Monday -A Pop Of Color." I love how Amy's chosen pop - a bright coral bag - is so effective with her outfit.
That scarf is sooo gorgeous!! I love the print and it’s pitched perfectly for that like backdrop. Like your yellow rule and I guess yellow is fresh in the garden in spring and just a little bawdy in the stronger summer sunlight. Good luck to hubs with the attic run and to you with the seasonal switch decisions.
