I recently bought another round of my favourites - products I use all the time, and renew when they're finished: La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 hyaluronic acid and their Anthelios SPF50 sun protection for the face and neck; Strivectin R&R eye cream and Caudalie Micellar Water. I'm using another old favourite after I use the micellar: it used to be known as Decleor tonifying lotion, but now it has been renamed and repackaged as "Lotion Tonifiante Neroli Bigarade Facial Toner." It smells just the same as the original, fortunately.
The other product that has sneaked into the picture is Bimuno, which is a daily supplement for good gut health. I confess to buying it because Dr Michael Mosley recommended it, and I have a lot of respect for him. In a study, it improved people's sleep, and he confirmed it worked for him. It's not expensive and you add it to a glass of water or other drink, or sprinkle it on food. It's tasteless, and said to work in seven days to help the good bacteria in your gut to thrive. In those Covid times, I'm keen to try anything that improves gut health, sleep and immunity.
Memo to Self: No More Beauty Boxes
I wrote recently about the You Beauty box and now I'm reviewing another one from the Sunday Times, their Summer Essentials Box. This was more pricey but it sold out fast. I wasn't too impressed to be honest, and the reason is the title "summer essentials." The box contains useful products, particularly if you're going on holiday - SPF, deodorant, a micellar, a dry shampoo. But I already have my "go to" essential products, some of them in the photo above. I prefer my beauty boxes to have more indulgent products. The Perrricone MD No Make Up Bronzer interested me, but like their product in the You box, it was very disappointing. It made my skin look dirty rather than glowing. It's probably good for a younger woman with oily skin. Those of us with mature dry skins need something more illuminating.
I'm keen to try the Inkey Face Serum as this has a cult following, but I tend to use up bottles these days rather than open a new one so it will have a while to wait. I tried the Bare Minerals Hydra Smoothing lipstick but it's a red that is a little too orangey for me. A blue toned red is best for me.

Yes,going shopping for food is still one of the highlights to dress for if like me you are still being careful about distancing! I agree with your thoughts about Beauty Box. I think it's best to buy the products that we choose for ourselves🛍️
