There's an old saying that red and green should never be seen, but as they're opposites in the color wheel, this can be taken with a pinch of salt. Colors that are opposites often look fabulous together. This was demonstrated a few months ago when blogger and author Suzy Turner wore a khaki and red combination. I resolved to do a "style steal," and it's taken a while but here it is.
In Suzy's photos she's wearing khaki trousers/pants and a cool pair of red trainers. I substituted a skirt, which came from M&S this season and is still available. The red top is from Oasis last year and the sandals are old ones from M&S. I wanted to wear my red boots but they're in the loft in the winter storage and I don't go up the ladder, so the sandals it had to be. I didn't have a bag like Suzy's so I used a cross-the-body bag from Dune.
Khaki is a good neutral so virtually any color looks great with it. I wrestled with pink but as I've been overdoing the pink lately, I decided to give you a break!
