If You Love Something, Buy It Again - and Link Up

Over 50s style blogger Gail Hanlon from Is This Mutton recommends snapping up items of clothing in different colours and sizes if you find something timeless that suits you. She has this white skirt from Marks and Spencer in three colors and the top from Ted Baker in two.
This skirt may have a touch of déjà vu about it because it's the same skirt that I have in pink and beige. Reader, I liked it so much I also bought it in white.

What I love about the skirt is its shape, a flattering A line with belt that helps to cinch the waist, and the length, which is just right for my height - I'm 5'5.

I'm wearing it with my Ted Baker "Wake Me for Champagne" tee.  This was another one that I liked so much I bought it again, and in cerise as well as black.  I've just checked but it's no longer available.  The lettering is in rose gold so I added a metallic bag, gold mules (old) and my rose gold bracelet.
The moral of the story is that if you find a garment that suits you and makes you feel good, snap it up again before it sells out.  I've always been so pleased when I did this: I remember a few years I found a pair of jeans I loved in Marks and Spencer and not only bought them again but in two different sizes and colours.  They're still serving me well.

Sometimes when I've regretted not buying something twice, I've found it on eBay.  I had a green skirt from Boden a few years ago that I wore and wore.  It became a bit shabby and I gave it away, but recently I was beyond thrilled to snap it up on eBay  (not my actual skirt but a newer looking version!).

Outfit details:  white A line skirt; slogan tee, Ted Baker, no longer available;  gold mules, old;  pewter rucksack, sold out.

Last week's favourites - most clicked - were Nancy's Fashion Style and La Moumous.

In her post "I love Food - Throwback Tuesday" Nancy shared her weekly menu with a picture of her tucking into a very appetizing looking pizza.
The favourite fashion post was by Iris from La Mousmous, below, with her post "16 Ihings In Your Closet You Should Get Rid of Right Away." I'm sure we're all guilty of a few of these mistakes.  My biggest one is buying things which are slightly too tight because I imagine I'm going to lose weight. These items hang in  the wardrobe reproaching me.
