As I mentioned last week, I've made a few purchases, mostly timeless pieces that will serve me well for the years to come. Take this polka dot pair for example: both from Marks and Spencer.
The top is a tunic style and I have tucked it in; the jacket is perfect for summer (or indeed winter, with a lightweight jumper/sweater underneath) and polka dots is a perennial favourite. Here I showing how a polka dot jacket can be dressed down for a casual outfit.
My outfit is monochrome with the addition of a little green in the form of a necklace and cross-the-body bag.The jeans are probably 10 years old; they're called Marilyn and were brought out by Marks and Spencer in three different shapes (Eva was another shape). Do you remember these, and did you have any? I see they've done something similar again but I haven't tried the latest versions.
How are you keeping your spirits up in these troubling times? I am reading more glossy magazines and buying more flowers, because working from home, it's lovely to see and smell them on my desk.
The weather has taken a turn for the better so we had a bracing walk in the forest yesterday - lots of others were doing the same, but it's big enough for everyone to keep two metres apart - and we'll probably keep that up.
Tomorrow I'm going to do a home workout. We have a step and weights, so I will devise a workout. There are lots of workouts online so I may find a yoga class for another day.
How are you finding joy in times of strife? Do let us know in the comments.

Now it's time for #WowOnWednesday, a perfect solution if you're looking for good reading, escapism, know-how and wisdom. Last week's most clicked was Nicole from High Latitude Style with her Ultimate Guide to Looking Great in a Knit Dress Over 40. Here Nicole shows how to do it with some awesome styling.
My favourite post was by Shelbee, May the Road Rise Up to Meet Us. Shelbee is such an inspiring writer, always searching and experimenting. She is approaching the virus in her usual positive way, and that meant embracing St Patrick's Day with a stunning outfit, determined to extract the joy and delight we normally get from the celebration.
Polka dots are so pretty i think. I'm working 9 to 5 and its very intense. Things are just taking 5 times longer. We are taking our daiky walk with the dogs. I saw 3 women running together yesterday. It made me so angry as they were of course not from one household and now we are in lockdown they shouldn't have been together.
