Everyday Outfits and #WowOnWednesday Link Up

There's a ttwist in the design of this Fabienne Chapot blouse - it features aliens. Worn with grey and silver by Is This Mutton style blogger Gail Hanlon
Today my friends I present another quick round-up of outfits I've been wearing.  First, a work wear outfit that has a twist. I love the quirky design of this "aliens" Paris blouse by Fabienne Chapot from The Bias Cut.  At first sight it doesn't look like aliens, but then some of my colleagues realized and thought it very amusing.
I love pink with grey so I'm wearing it with grey trousers, silver boots and a sparkly silver metallic belt. As the aliens design features black, the blouse would look good too with black culottes.

If you're a friend of mine on Instagram, you probably know I have a bit of a thing for green.  Here are two green work wear looks. The first shows my green coat - it came from M&S and is around five years old. I spotted it online and snapped it up, which is just as well because if you snooze you lose.  Many's the time I have liked something in M&S, not bought it, and then never been able to get it in my size.

I kept the green going with a green silky print blouse (old, Zara) and green tights, with a black sweater and skirt. Below: more green in the form of a Boden dress (old, last seen here), a thrifted necklace, my green snakeskin boots and a green cashmere cardi I had for my birthday, not available in this shade but still on sale in spruce.

Now for two variations on blue.  Above: making sure I get good wear out of my navy knee length boots. The skirt is fun, old from the Bias Cut, it has a big cat print. The wide belt immediately gives me a silhouette under a baggy jumper.
The same jumper and boots, worn this time with a skirt from Lily and Me (last year).
Marks and Spencer velour lounge wear worn by Is This Mutton style blogger Gail Hanlon
Finally, how about a bit of lounge wear?  Perfect for wearing at home with the holiday season approaching.  I noticed that M&S have a new range of velour lounge wear - in addition to the two piece I'm wearing there's a set studded with pearls as well.  I never liked the onesie trend - there was something disturbing to me about adults dressed in rompers - but this lounge suit is suitably comfortable and soft for relaxing at home and not being afraid to answer the door to Serkan, the DPD man. It's not very thick and warm however and you need to size down.

Now it's time for #WowOnWednesday, the weekly fashion, beauty and travel link-up that helps bloggers find new readers, and readers to find new blogs to enjoy!

Last week's Most Clicked Post was by Sandy from Petite Panache who was talking about how to choose stylish glasses for petite faces.
Another post I loved was by Penny from Frugal Fashion Shopper, talking about a new thrifted skirt and a hair update. Penny started a good debate about going grey/gray as we get older. I'm planning to pick up this topic soon. If you are in the process of letting your hair go grey and growing it out, please get in touch: isthsmutton96@gmail.com

  1. The pink looks lovely on you Gail, it really suits your colouring! I like some pinks near my face, even if it's just a lipstick. That was a lovely surprise being "most clicked". Thanks.
