Burgundy is one of my favourite colours, so I paired an old favourite - a jumper with a detachable bow from Ted Baker - with my suede boots, bought in 2004. The skirt is from Asos but it was disappointing: not lined, and highlights the fact I'm short waisted. So it will be going back! Their sizing is all over the place: this is a size 12 (US size 8) but looks tight; meanwhile in the same order, a pair of khaki trousers, their own brand and size 12, were too big.
An easy way to bring any outfit up to date is to add new jewellery. Seashells are a big trend for this year; Mango have several including the one I snapped up for £17.99.
Nearly two years ago the #5Over50 Challenge was Monochrome, and I wore all-white for that.

Last week's readers' favorite showed how much we all enjoy a bargain. The most popular post was by Laurie from Vanity and Me: Style On a Budget. Amazingly, she got this outfit for £20!
