It's summer, girls, and time to get our legs out. Fortunately the world of faux tan has moved on a bit since my first encounter in the 1970s, when a friend of mine showed me her fake tan. Reader, she was as orange as an Oompa Loompa.

Last week in part one of my Cropped and Wide Trousers special, I hopefully showed that this scary type of pant can be surprisingly flattering. This week I'm wearing a more conservative pair of trousers which could easily be worn to work and also dressed up for evenings.

Last year we had ankle grazers but they were mostly straight or narrow legged.  This year, "what's trending" on Asos tells me that wide, cropped trousers/ culottes are going to be very big this summer.
