I bought the jumper to go with a Prince of Wales check skirt (seen here), but I like the combination of pink with grey too. The shoes are a metallic silver colour which goes with everything. And the tights are looking a bit "Norah Batty" - need to treat myself to some new Wolfords!

One thing I didn't have in the photos is an appropriate bag. I was at a loss to know what sort of bag to carry. A clutch bag didn't seem appropriate. A cross-the-body bag, but in which colour? Which would you go for?
This is such a pretty look, Gail. The skirt is beautifully cut and the colours and shape are perfect on you. You'll be wowing them in the office again!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit of a non-bag person in retirement with no sense of adventure. I could say I'd go for pink, I'd probably go totally safe with grey but knowing me well, I'd probably accessorise with a jacket with deep pockets! Wishing you a happy week 2 at work. Hugs, x.
There's a lot to be said for a jacket with deep pockets - particularly here in the Lake District where I have a week's holiday (I know, a week off when I've only been in the new job a week!
DeleteI love the jumper Gail. These sleeves would be manageable for me.I've found it hard with the sleeve trend of late with my short arms! xx

It's nice having streamlined sleeves rather than statement sleeves dangling in the soup!
DeleteI've featured pink on my blog today - love it! Great with grey too. x Jacqui

Oh, those pewter shoes. I have some very similarly styled in a soft gray but that pewter takes the cake. You wear pink so well. Very pretty with your coloring. When I was a little girl, the older lady across the street had a bedroom in her home for her granddaughter. She decorated it in pink and gray. I thought it was the most feminine perfect bedroom EVER!! Such a perfect combination.
ReplyDeleteI remember having a pink skiing outfit that had a grey elephant on the back! Not the best example of grey and pink!
DeleteThanks so much Rachel!
ReplyDeleteOh Gail, I do have sweater envy now! I saw this fabulous pink jumper in the latest catalogue and fell for it big time. But you know me, I'm always looking for a bargain and this is far from that. I love your colours together and wonder if a burgundy classic handbag might be a good ploy here?
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely holiday!
Anna x
Burgundy-good call! I have a slouchy velvet bag in plum, maybe try that.
DeletePink and grey are one of my all time favourite colour combos.
ReplyDeleteI like Anna's suggestion and would have suggested the same. Burgundy plays so well.
I also like the idea of a framed handbag. If you didn't live an ocean away I'd lend you one of my collection of vintage petit point framed handbags. It would be awesome with this.
