More green in 2017

How to colour match a problem skirt
I started this year with a post about "Green in 2017," and it's been one of the best read so far. It was about my love of the colour green, and how green had been chosen by Pantone as its colour of the year, in the "greenery" manifestation.
The other day I happened to hang up a Boden floral skirt next to a green cropped cardigan, both of which I hardly ever wear, and I was surprised I'd never thought to wear them together.

The skirt has been a little problematic in that it has several colours in it which don't cry out to be used in a top: pale pink, grey, navy  (none are colours that really suit me). Fortunately there is some green, so I've matched it to the cardi and added bright pink shoes. I always love pink with green.  I used a silver belt and necklace to go with the grey tones in the skirt.

The advertised post, clothes with pearls, features some AW17 buys, and seeing as the UK weather has finally taken a turn for the better, I thought I'd park that for a week or two!

  9. While green is my favorite color, I usually wear olive when I wear green because I migrate toward earth tones. Of course, this bright green is gorgeous and if we call it grass green it is certainly an earth tone, too. Your lip color is so pretty with the green. And I love that flirty little bag.

I am so out of the loop, what is AW17? When I see AW I think of A&W root beer. Probably not the right AW in this instance.

    2. That's right Leslie --- I should have written it in full. I normally try to include "Fall" as well as Autumn (we only say Autumn in the UK).
