The other day I happened to hang up a Boden floral skirt next to a green cropped cardigan, both of which I hardly ever wear, and I was surprised I'd never thought to wear them together.
The skirt has been a little problematic in that it has several colours in it which don't cry out to be used in a top: pale pink, grey, navy (none are colours that really suit me). Fortunately there is some green, so I've matched it to the cardi and added bright pink shoes. I always love pink with green. I used a silver belt and necklace to go with the grey tones in the skirt.
The advertised post, clothes with pearls, features some AW17 buys, and seeing as the UK weather has finally taken a turn for the better, I thought I'd park that for a week or two!
Outfit details
Skirt: Boden, past season; necklace, Topshop, past season; sandals, Topshop, sold out; cropped cardigan, Boden; silver belt, Madeleine

ReplyDeleteGreen is my favourite colour! I absolute love it.... and it does go with so many other colours too. I just love your outfit - you're right that the cardigan goes wonderfully well with the skirt. The pink sandals are perfect with this whole ensemble too! Thanks Suzy, I'm already looking at more green buys for autumn winter!
DeleteYou look lovely, Gail! Not only because the skirt and the top go happily together, but also for your delicate smiling and the light into your eyes!!
ReplyDeleteGreat hairstyle too...
Thanks Dan, you are too kind!
DeleteThanks for joining the Top of the World Style linkup party with your post. It's such a nice style element to belt the cardigan. So chic.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole - have a great weekend!
DeleteWhile green is my favorite color, I usually wear olive when I wear green because I migrate toward earth tones. Of course, this bright green is gorgeous and if we call it grass green it is certainly an earth tone, too. Your lip color is so pretty with the green. And I love that flirty little bag.
ReplyDeleteI am so out of the loop, what is AW17? When I see AW I think of A&W root beer. Probably not the right AW in this instance.
Just seeing your latest post...I think I know what AW is!! Autumn/Winter???
DeleteThat's right Leslie --- I should have written it in full. I normally try to include "Fall" as well as Autumn (we only say Autumn in the UK).
DeleteYou look so beautiful in green. Your shoes in pink are my favorit. Regards Martina from Munich - www.lady50plus.de
ReplyDeleteThank you Martina, and great to see you visit! I love Munich, lived there for nearly two years a while back.
DeleteFunny how sometimes when we rearrange our closet, that we discover a new combination! I LOVE this green on you and the pop of magenta with you sandals, so pretty! I get the Boden catalogue and am pretty tempted.Of course, green is one of my favorite colors.
