I may have mentioned that I have a bit of a thing for burgundy (maroon, aubergine, whatever) at the moment. It was last seen in the form of my burgundy velvet jacket. I was keen to get my hands on this top with a bow from Ted Baker.
Mr Mutton's immediate question was "does the bow come off?" (yes), but it would be a very plain top without it!
I need to get the brush out again! (Or the vaccum cleaner --- it's not real grass, shock horror).
Jumper: Ted Baker; skirt, Laura Ashley (sold out); boots, very old! Necklace: Heavenly Necklaces
On a side note, I've found some great things at Ted Baker, although they do tend to use a very unforgiving fabric for their scuba dresses. There's no such person as Ted, although they cleverly refer to Ted as if he exists in their marketing emails. The CEO, or real-life Ted, is Ray Kelvin. He started the brand as a menswear shop in Glasgow 25 years ago. It's now a global brand - and most of its success is down to word-of-mouth. Ted Baker has used what they call "Teducation" to reach influencers on social media and through guerilla marketing. Very clever.
If you want to learn more about Ray Kelvin I found this interesting article.
Have you got your eye on any Ted Baker pieces for spring/summer? Is it a brand you regularly visit?
