Embroidered denim, double denim

Embroidered denim is having a moment, as is double denim. Fearing that I might look like a country and western singer, or at worse, a bit mutton, I thought I'd give it a go. The pretty embroidered jeans are from Marks and Spencer and already sold out, although there's a similar pair here. I wore the jeans first with a statement sleeve jumper from Lost Ink.

Next I paired the jeans with an embroidered shirt, also from Marks and Spencer. Now I really am getting into C&W territory. Yee ha.

Double floral denim was probably as bit too much so I tried the shirt with my flared jeans from Next, past season.

Preparation of the photography area

Before I took the pictures, there was a little prep to be done.  It's a glamorous life, being an all-purpose photographer / blogger / stylist! I had to scrub the bird feeders and brush up the grass.

    I do love the embroidered trend and am tempted to get a pair of jeans myself. You look great in jeans and I really love the pink statement sleeved top, another on my wishlist! At least you have grass! here in the South, it can get very dry. I am ready for Spring though!

    I am a sucker for embroidery on anything.

    I quite like your double denim outfits and I love that flouncy sleeved blouse. The pink is so soft and perfect for spring.

    I love that you shot yourself getting your "backdrop" ready for photos. Ha ha! The things we bloggers do...

    BTW...I totally thought the grass was real!

I think that gorgeous rose blush top with the double-ruffled sleeves would be perfect for you to 'transfer' into Spring. I also love the double denim look.     I love embroidered denim...well any embellishment on denim really. I've customized an old denim jacket with patches, it's not quite finished yet but when it is I'll be wearing it on the blog!
